AZTEC GOLD busted down barriers between art and audience at San Diego's Museum of the Living Artist on Aug. 16. Painting & performance came ALIVE as luchartistas 'Mon Santo, Miss Slocialization, Sonny Diablo, El Chicharron, Latin Blood and So Cal Crazy hit the canvas in a cathartic show which also featured professional wresters fighting it out with paints and canvas. Special thanks to Ricardo Duffy, Endy, Bob Rob Medina, Edmundo Soto, Perry Vasquez, Rebecca Romani, Brent Beltran and the fabulous wrestlers from the Lucha Libre Internacional Independiente for their talent, creativity and raw courage!
AZTEC GOLD pulled out all the stops with A-list artwork, a multi-media space odyssey featuring the Chicanonauts, and the unveiling of our newest project -- LADIES OF THE NIGHT...the adventures of a crime-fighting trio of trannies to be filmed in Puerto Vallarta later this year.
And the artwork by Ricardo Duffy, Alma Lopez, Ricardo Islas, Germs, Robert Sanchez, Andi Brandenburg and Chikle was simply amazing!
"The mix of people at this event was intoxicating! I loved seeing these diverse communities come together, " exclaimed a starstruck observer, "I've never seen anything like it!"
